For seekers: they see a tier badge on each offerer's profile. They can filter "show me Verified Member or higher" or "Trusted Member only" if they want extra peace of mind.

Do I have to pay for anything?

No. Every RooMate tier is free. Higher tiers are unlocked through extra verification steps — never a paywall.

Is my government ID stored?

No. Your ID is checked by our verification partner and only the outcome (approved / rejected) is kept. Full details are in our privacy policy and the "How is my data protected?" FAQ on the homepage.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. Add verification signals from your account page whenever you're ready and your badge updates automatically.
