RooMate was born out of frustration.
Finding a flatmate or room in Athens shouldn't feel unsafe. But for thousands of students, young professionals and women arriving alone in a new city, that's exactly what it feels like.
I built RooMate to change that — starting in Athens, with a vision to expand to every city where finding a safe home carries more risk than it should.
Every match is consent-based, personally reviewed and backed by verified trust signals. No random strangers. No chaos. Just safe, meaningful connections.
Because finding your next home should feel exciting — not frightening.

Having moved across multiple cities in Greece and the UK and travelled to 45 countries, she understands firsthand what it means to arrive somewhere new and need to find somewhere safe and trustworthy to live. As a Superhost, she also knows what it takes to make someone feel genuinely welcomed and safe.
She built RooMate in four months as a solo non-technical founder — while working full time as a dentist — because she believes that trust is not a feature. It's the whole point.
RooMate is her answer to a problem she refused to accept as normal.
